Peggy’s Story
A passion for art from a young age
Born and raised in New Canaan, Connecticut, Peggy’s love for the beauty in nature began while wandering in the woods with her beloved family dogs. As a young girl, she created stories and illustrated them into little books. While her mother was quite ill and in the hospital, she drew get-well cards with decorative envelopes. All of these early creations, Peggy’s mother treasured, and kept in a drawer in their home.
Adding a heart of red velvet
Forever holding a passion for art and the joy it brings
Peggy’s signature motif, a heart of red velvet, is represented in her artwork in several different ways. In her sculptures, a velvet heart is placed. This idea started with her first sculpture, Harvey the Conductor.

Our commitment to good
helping domestic abuse survivors stay with their beloved pets
As a lover of animals and an advocate for human service and social good, Peggy chose Purple Leash Project as the nonprofit she wishes to support. The organization’s long-term goal is to fundamentally change the landscape of domestic violence services for survivors with pets, so no survivor has to choose between their own safety and the safety of their pet.
